On the basis of an investigation initiated after the possible involvement of members of the Veracruz State Police in the illegal deprivation of liberty of victims, which took place in July 2023 in Xalapa, the Office of the Attorney-General of the Republic (FGR) in coordination with the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) carried out arrest warrants against various persons.
