Police Officer Sentenced for Using an Official Vehicle Seized From Drug Trafficking for His Own Benefit

Sandro Jacinto Gazalí, former deputy chief of the La Paz Police Department, was accused of using a police vehicle assigned to the department by a ruling of the Federal Oral Court (TOF) to travel from La Paz to Mar del Plata and back, while on regular leave. He was arrested in February 2019 at the Túnel Checkpoint in Paraná, in possession of the official vehicle he had stolen from police custody for his personal gain.
