ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A man shot a Rockford Police K9 near a Circle K Gas Station on Saturday, according to officials. Around 3:50 p.m., officers pulled a man over in the 1300 block of East State Street. He fled on foot after being pulled over, police reported. Authorities said the suspect shot the K9 soon after.
