Police have been granted more powers to tackle anti-social behaviour as the Epsom Derby weekend kicks off.
The council has adopted a Public Space Protection Order for the whole borough. This allows officers to fine people being harassing, threatening or abusive and to tackle anti-social behaviour. More than 25,000 people are expected for Ladies Day today, and 35,000 people for Derby Day tomorrow.
