On August 22nd, a woman with a bruised face and nose was rushed to a hospital in Cangzhou, Hebei Province. Tests revealed she had suffered brain hemorrhage, lung damage, and a broken waist, and was reportedly dead. Reports indicated the woman had been a victim of long-term domestic violence. Her husband, surnamed Jin, was a dispatched laborer from the local procuratorate. The victim's mother-in-law and husband have been criminally detained.
