- Recounting the attack, victim Umaru Muazu said armed men seized him and his son; Kwara Forest Guards member Owolabi Adebayo stated, "We neutralised three of them and rescued nine people."
- Following the operation, Adebayo appealed for improved logistics and equipment, noting "There is no type of firearm that is not in their hands" and requesting body armor, binoculars, and night-vision goggles.
- Authorities continue bush-combing exercises across communities bordering Kogi, Ekiti, and Niger states, while President Bola Tinubu recently approved a new Nigerian Army battalion in Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area to strengthen operations.
