ASI held for taking Rs 1.5 lakh bribe to drop 3 names from criminal case
Haryana SV&ACB arrested an ASI in Bahadurgarh for allegedly accepting a ?1.5 lakh bribe to remove three names from a criminal case. The bureau said ASI Naveen had initially demanded ?3 lakh and was caught red-handed during a trap operation. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
In Bahadurgarh, the State Vigilance Rohtak team, acting late Monday night, arrested an ASI accepting a bribe of ₹1.5 lakh (52,000 baht) from the police station. The accused was identified as ASI Naveen, 52, a resident of Makdauli, Rohtak district. He was posted as ASI at the Bahadurgarh City Police Station.
