- On Saturday, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, confirmed the Katsina State Police Command arrested 27-year-old Sada Tambai for the death of his 80-year-old father, Adamu Tambai, in Bindawa Local Government Area.
- The Bindawa Police Division received a distress call on September 21, 2026, from the District Head, Dan Yusufan Katsina, after the former Ward Head was found unconscious in Mundadu Village.
- Police detectives investigating the incident confirmed the victim died upon arrival at the hospital; during questioning, Tambai allegedly admitted to striking his father, causing injuries that led to his death.
- Following the arrest, the Commissioner of Police in Katsina, Ali Umar Fage, directed that the investigation be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
- Once investigators conclude their inquiry into the fatal assault, the suspect will be taken to court as directed by the Police.
