- Ogun State Police arrested 43-year-old Edebiri Temitope in connection with the death of his 38-year-old neighbor, Oje Michael Eje, in Mowe, Ogun State.
- Police spokesperson Oluseyi Babaseyi said Eje had hugged and played with Temitope’s three-year-old child, which Temitope allegedly considered rough play.
- Babaseyi said Temitope allegedly struck Eje repeatedly with a bamboo stick until he collapsed and died.
- Police transferred Temitope to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further investigation.
