Poland’s new president nods to the far right in his first 100 days
WARSAW, Poland (AP) — In his first 100 days in office, Poland ’s new President Karol Nawrocki has positioned himself as the defender of the Polish nation and someone whose office might be sympathetic to the country’s growing far right.
I work hard for all Poles, so that we can be safe, live in a normal country, and that Poland can develop. These 100 days have been like this," said President Karol Nawrocki at a rally in Mińsk Mazowiecki. "I haven't spared myself—neither I nor my colleagues," he assured.
Karol Nawrocki's victory offered hope that it was possible to reverse the path chosen by the "December 13th Coalition." His first presidential decisions not only sustained this hope but also strengthened the sense of national unity.
