Poland’s Domanski expects deal on €150bn defence fund this month

Polish finance minister Andrzej Domanski said he expects EU countries will strike a deal this month on a €150bn fund to ramp up the bloc’s defence efforts. Finance ministers meeting in Brussels also agreed on simplifying VAT rules for e-commerce.

Polish Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski said he expects the European Union to reach a deal this month on a €150 billion ($167 billion) fund to boost the bloc’s defense capabilities.

The Ministry of Finance is working on a new solution - i.e. tax settlements, the assumptions of which will be presented this year, informed Finance Minister Andrzej Domański.
