Poland produced more electricity from renewable sources than from coal in June. Green energy accounted for 44.1 percent of the country's energy mix. For the first time, it surpassed coal, which fell to 43.7 percent. The rest was made up of natural gas. The data was processed by the Warsaw energy think tank Forum Energii, based on data from the Polish energy network operator.
In Q2, coal's share of Poland's energy mix fell below 50% for the first time in history.
