Poland warns of response after Israeli demolition plans threaten Polish-funded aid projects in West Bank
Warsaw’s increasingly public diplomatic interventions suggest it is becoming less willing to remain on sidelines as conflict widens politically across Europe
If Israel liquidates the village of Khan al-Ahmar, its residents will become homeless, and the results of three years of work financed by Polish taxpayers will be lost, the Polish Ministry of National Defense (PMM) assessed. Foreign Ministry spokesman Maciej Wewiñr announced a response to these plans "in common with other countries."
We cannot allow Israel to "destroy" the results of Polish aid in the West Bank. It would be a great loss and a squandering of several years of work and several million złotys that were allocated from the state budget," says Małgorzata Olasińska-Chart of the Polish Medical Mission.
