It was revealed at the Naha City Council's June regular session on the 15th that there are 145 poisonous Okinawa oleander trees (Nerium oleander 'Mifukuragi') in eight parks within Naha City. The city will prioritize cutting down trees in areas easily accessible to people. This was in response to a general question from Noriji Yamakawa (Naha Liberal Democratic Party/Independent Group) by Yasushi Hanashiro, Director of the Urban Future Department.
