The incident occurred around 1:10 a.m. on March 2nd at 2900 Wesridge Street. The death victim was identified by the authorities as Gavin Melchor, 24 years old. According to the Houston Police report, officers responded to an emergency call about an ongoing physical assault in the parking lot of a mall. Upon arrival, they found an unconscious man, who was taken to a hospital in the area, where his death was confirmed.
