- Officials emphasized reassurances to the public while ministers pursued talks, with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar speaking with Abbas Araghchi about maritime security and energy needs, and Modi posting on X that safety and energy supply remain priorities.
- As the conflict affects oil markets and routes, around 1 crore Indians live in the Gulf and West Asia, with about 10,000 in Iran and over 40,000 in Israel.
