- Neighbors Tim Johnson and another man rescued the woman from debris; Johnson told WOOD-TV 'I had to get in there and get her out,' and deputies credited their actions with likely saving her life.
- Just after noon Tuesday, investigators located a deceased man believed to be the resident, pending official identification, while cadaver dogs will search the destroyed home once authorities deem it safe.
