DHS carried out 20 federal warrants and 10 arrests in Los Angeles tied to sex trafficking by the Hoover Criminals Gang. Officials identified 51 victims, some as young as 14.

The vast majority of victims are adult women, of whom 64.2% were victims of trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, said Europol, which participated in the operation together with Frontex and Interpol.
As part of the "Global Chain", investigators from 59 countries arrest more than a thousand suspects. They are said to belong to networks of traffickers. Among the identified victims are also minors.
Interpol has been involved in international action against trafficking in human beings, with more than a thousand arrests on four continents.
