Suspended 10 of the 11 guards constituted accused in a PJ operation in prisons

Thirteen people were arrested as part of a police operation in prisons in Lisbon, Alcoentre, Sintra and Funchal on suspicion of facilitating the entry of drugs into prisons.

13 people have already been arrested, including two prison guards. Operation is taking place in the areas of Lisbon, Alcoentre, Sintra and Funchal.

Some of the detainees have shown, in recent years, some external signs of wealth, incompatible with their respective salary.

One of the 13 arrested in Operation Black Market, launched this Wednesday, will be an agent of the Public Security Police (PSP).
