The Pittsburgh Pirates have recalled infielder/outfielder Ji Hwan Bae from Triple-A Indianapolis. He takes the place of infielder Enmanuel Valdez, who was placed on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to May 8) with left shoulder inflammation.
