“About 3.5 kilometers from the airfield, I noticed I was flying too low.” But fortunately, Erik Pauwels can still tell the story after he had to make an emergency landing with his glider in a field along the Weg naar Zwartberg in Oudsbergen, Limburg, on Wednesday evening. Pauwels was not injured. The aircraft, however, sustained heavy damage and is ready for the scrap heap.
