Due to the high growth in the minimum wage and labor costs, Petrol is taking additional measures to rationalize and optimize operations.
The increase in the minimum wage will have a strong impact on the operations of the Petrol Group in Slovenia, Petrol warns. Labor costs will increase significantly, and the situation is unsustainable with unchanged productivity and margins in the sale of motor fuels, which have been regulated for several years. As a result, new measures have been adopted to rationalize operations.
The reason lies in the fact that the minimum wage in Slovenia has been increased by as much as 16% since January 1, 2026.
