People living in a part of New Malden say plans to implement a school street will funnel more traffic through their road.

Kingston Council will trial closing off Lime Grove to motor vehicles at school drop-off and pick-up times from September the 1st. But people living in nearby Chestnut Grove say this will push more vehicles along their already busy road as drivers divert. Kingston Council says the trial will be in place for between 6 and 18 months after which a final decision will be made.
