Pennsylvania woman celebrates her 105th birthday

Margaret Ree Watson celebrated her 105th birthday on Sunday with friends and family at the Reformed Presbyterian Home in Pittsburgh.
Margaret Ree Watson entered the world in 1920 in Birmingham, Alabama, before her family eventually made their home in Pittsburgh, where she spent most of her life.
She held positions as a server and chef at the eatery owned by Teddy Horne before spending 28 years as a housekeeper at West Penn Hospital, retiring in 1985.
Watson said, “I never thought I was going to get 105” and that “I just do my thing all the way up,” reflecting on her longevity and attitude.
Her birthday party with friends and family honored a milestone she once doubted, as she also expressed gratitude for family and witnessing the world’s progress.
