LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, JUL 17 – The gala will honor four artists with awards recognizing global impact, creative innovation, cultural influence, and emerging voices while raising vital funds for museum programs.
- On October 18, 2025, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures will host its annual gala in Los Angeles, honoring Penélope Cruz, Walter Salles, Bruce Springsteen and Bowen Yang.
- After last year's gala raised over $11 million, the annual fundraiser supports museum exhibitions, education initiatives and public programming.
- Penélope Cruz will receive the Icon Award, celebrating `an artist whose career has had a significant global impact`, Bowen Yang will be honored with the Vantage Award, and Bruce Springsteen will receive the inaugural Legacy Award and perform live.
- Supported by Rolex as the exclusive presenting partner, the gala is co-chaired by Jon M. Chu, Common, Viola Davis, Julius Tennon, Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey and Jennifer Hudson.
- Proceeds from the gala will support museum exhibitions, screenings and K–12 educational programming, and fund access initiatives benefiting the Los Angeles community and beyond.
