On September 8, 1925, the Spanish troops supported by the French air force set foot on the beach of Al Hoceima, on the north coast of Morocco, in an attempt to put an end to the rebellion of the Rif. A major historical and military episode led by actors who were no less so: Franco, Pétain and, in front of them, the hero of the rifain uprising, Abdelkrim.
This September 8th marks the 100th anniversary of the Al Hoceima landings, a Spanish military operation that marked a milestone in the history of our Armed Forces.
