KINGSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A pedestrian was struck last night on the University of Rhode Island’s campus. According to a spokesperson, it happened in the early evening near the intersection of Lower College Road and Campus Avenue. The pedestrian was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. Pedestrian struck and killed

A 51-year-old Odessa man was killed early Monday morning when he was struck by a vehicle while walking near West University Boulevard and FM 1936. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Joel Tijerina was walking south across the westbound lanes of West University around 1:15 a.m. when he failed to yield the right of way and was hit by a GMC Yukon driven by a 54-year-old Odessa woman.
