Pedestrian holding baby struck by car, cops say

A pedestrian carrying a baby was struck and injured by a vehicle while crossing a street in New Providence on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said. The baby was not hurt when the adult was hit crossing Springfield Avenue at the corner of Central Avenue as the vehicle turned at about 12:25 p.m., New Providence police said.
