The newspaper Helsingin Sanomat writes that Finnish defense industry company Patria wants to gain a foothold in the drone market and will start producing drone systems based on artificial intelligence together with startup Nest AI.
Patria is responsible for the mass production of drones, while Nest AI brings artificial intelligence to them.
The collaboration is driven by a change in warfare. During Russia's war of aggression in Ukraine, the strategic importance of drones in warfare has increased.
Defence technology company Patria and artificial intelligence company Nest AI are developing AI-based unmanned aerial systems for European defence.
