Pakistan Wins Toss, Elects to Field Against England in Tri-Series ODI
Pakistan kept its winning XI and England made one change as both teams looked to stay alive in the tri-series.
On Tuesday, England captain Harry Brook won the toss at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and elected to field as Pakistan posted 302-9 in the second match of the ODI tri-series.
This tri-series marks England's first ODI appearance in Pakistan in 21 years; Pakistan entered following a 37-run win against Sri Lanka last Sunday, where captain Shaheen Shah Afridi noted his team played "like 50 percent in batting."
Hasan Nawaz anchored the innings with 79 off 74 balls, while Arafat Minhas added 59 off 58 deliveries; Faheem Ashraf's aggressive 39 off 26 balls provided late momentum from 31-2.
Sonny Baker led England's bowling with figures of 3-65, while Gus Atkinson claimed two wickets for 35 runs; Jamie Overton bowled Nawaz with a yorker in the penultimate over.
Rawalpindi hosts one more game on Thursday between England and Sri Lanka before the tournament moves to Lahore, which also hosts the final on October 31.
