- The PCB said Pakistan will not travel to India for any tournament until at least 2027 and set up a special visa facilitation cell to assist those requiring visas.
- Despite suspended bilateral ties, organisers confirmed the India–Pakistan Asia Cup match will be played in the UAE on September 14, 2025; the teams have only met in multi-nation tournaments since 2012.
- Naqvi also emphasised selectors and advisory committee decide merit-based picks, and additional India–Pakistan matches may occur if both reach the Asia Cup knockout stage this year.
