Pain Clinic Not Allowed to Proceed with Unproven Lidocaine Treatment for Post-COVID

A commercial pain clinic in Velsen-Noord is no longer allowed to simply administer lidocaine to people with chronic COVID-19 symptoms. This is because the substance is not approved for this purpose. The Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ) states that there is "a risk to patient safety" and therefore wants Excellent Care Clinics to stop the treatment.
