Pac-12 preview: New-look conference should provide stiff challenges, hostile road arenas

On Sept. 16, Utah State announced the school had sold out tickets for Gonzaga’s inaugural trip to Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. That wouldn’t necessarily be news – certainly not Gonzaga’s first time drawing a standing room-only crowd on the road – but the announcement arrived two full weeks before the Pac-12 Conference released its schedule, meaning more than 10,000 fans purchased tickets without knowing a concrete date for the Jan. 21 matchup.
