OVI Checkpoint Scheduled in Marion County Friday Evening

The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced today that an OVI checkpoint will be held in Marion County tomorrow evening. The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers. Based on provisional data, there were 1,380 OVI-related serious injury and fatal crashes in 2023 in Ohio, and troopers made over 14,600 OVI arrests last year in an attempt to combat these dangerous drivers.  The location of the c…
