Over half of adults in the East of England can’t tell heat stroke from heat exhaustion, St John Ambulance warns

Charity launches summer campaign to boost public knowledge of heat-related first aid St John Ambulance today launches its summer first aid awareness campaign after new research reveals that more than half of adults surveyed in the East of England (56%)* (55% nationally) do not know the difference between life-threatening heat stroke, which requires a 999 call, and heat exhaustion, which can be treated by cooling and hydrating a patient.
