Over 40 animals seized in animal cruelty case in Lincoln County
The animals were surrendered and are being rehomed after veterinarians evaluated them, and the case is being reviewed for possible charges.
Forty dogs and other animals, including ponies, chickens, rabbits, cats, and a goat, were seized from a property in the Rollin Hills area on July 17 according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
Law enforcement received a call about possible animal neglect at the property on June 27, 2026, prompting further investigation by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
On July 17, deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, along with the Eureka Police Department and U.S. Border Patrol agents, executed a search warrant and seized multiple animals.
All seized animals were evaluated and treated by a veterinarian, and the case will be reviewed by the Lincoln County Attorney’s Office for potential charges.
