France warns of space threats from Russia
France has raised the alarm over a surge in ‘hostile’ activity in space, with its top military commander warning that satellites are increasingly vulnerable to disruption from Russia, China and other global rivals. Major General Vincent Chusseau, the new head of French Space Command, told reporters that the conflict in Ukraine has transformed space into a “fully-fledged operational domain”. Source

In 2015, a new space race began. Blue Origin, a privately owned company, landed a booster on a launch pad back on earth, after lifting an object 100 kilometers into the atmosphere. SpaceX quickly followed suit, landing its own Falcon booster back on a pad for use again for later space flight.
The head of the Space Command of the French Armed Forces, Major General Vincent Chousso, warned of a significant increase in “hostile or unfriendly” activity in space, especially from Russia.
