Outback council expresses 'absolute opposition' to an increase in age of criminal responsibility

Summary by Ground News
Bourke Shire Council is opposed to raising the age of criminal responsibility from 10 to 14 years. Councillor Robert Stutsel believes increasing the age will neglect the community's youth. In December, the Standing Council of Attorneys-General, led by Mark Dreyfus, released a previously secret report recommending the age be raised to 14.
