Israel defense minister vows troops to stay in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza
JERUSALEM: Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz visited southern Lebanon on Wednesday, vowing to destroy infrastructure and keep troops in a so-called “security zone” as well as in Syria and Gaza.
The Israeli government announces that it will maintain a permanent military presence in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza, generating international rejection especially by the United States and Turkey, and increasing geopolitical tension in the Middle East with implications for Europe and Iran.
