Qassem said the U.S.-brokered framework gave Israel everything it wanted after seven rounds of talks and urged officials to reverse the deal.
On Friday, Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem rejected the US-brokered Lebanon-Israel negotiation framework, denouncing it as "Israeli dictates" that amount to surrender.
The June 26 framework, reached under pressure from Washington, provides for phased Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon and allows the Lebanese Army to "restore effective sovereign authority."
Qassem accused Lebanese officials of directing pressure at Hezbollah rather than Israel over the past 15 months, asking them to "name a single achievement" from seven rounds of negotiations.
Despite the Lebanese Army's deployment in Zawtar al-Gharbieh, Israel continues striking infrastructure. US Ambassador Michel Issa claimed today that Israeli attacks would cease only after Hezbollah hands over its weapons.
Qassem favors the June US-Iran Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, crediting it for the recent cease-fire. Israel occupies a 6-mile "buffer zone" in southern Lebanon, insisting it will not withdraw until Hezbollah is completely disarmed.
