CLEVELAND, Ohio --When many folks think of orchestras the immediate images and stereotypes that appear are of stone-faced instrumentalists in black suits and gowns staring at sheet music as they wail away on their instruments, led by an equally formal-suited leader dramatically waving and pointing a baton in tempo to the stately and staid music, often written centuries ago by men who may have worn powdered wigs.
