Opposition councillors on Reigate & Banstead Borough Council have submitted a motion of no confidence in the Conservative council leadership.

Opposition councillors have tabled a motion of no confidence in the Conservative leadership of Reigate & Banstead Borough Council.

Green, Liberal Democrat and Independent members accuse the Conservatives of “losing their way” and failing on key priorities. The Conservatives now hold just 17 of the council’s 45 seats, leaving them without a clear majority. If passed on 25 September, the motion could see a Green led progressive alliance take control of the council.
