Turkey has carried out raids across the country and arrested 153 suspected Islamic State members, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on Friday.
This wave of arrests took place throughout the territory. Turkey shares more than 800 kilometres of border with Syria, where IS is still rife.
153 suspected members of the Islamic State terrorist organization have been detained in Turkey, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Friday.
"Our fight against terrorism is not limited to the operations of our security forces on the ground: it is based on a multidimensional state strategy encompassing security, intelligence, communication and international cooperation," he said in a message published on social network X.
Operations to apprehend suspects have taken place in 28 Turkish provinces over the past two weeks.
