- Data show extensions and loft conversions can add 65,279 on an average home worth 271995, surpassing gains from an extra bedroom or bathroom.
- Homeowners face average renovation costs of £13,600, rising to £97,000 among 25-to-34-year-olds, with most satisfied and only 4% regretting their work.
- Younger homeowners are most interested in green upgrades, with over two-thirds of those aged 25 to 34 making eco-friendly improvements and many adding solar panels in recent years.
