Helena law enforcement kill armed woman after shooting threat at Lewis and County Courthouse
- On Friday afternoon around 1:30 p.m., local and county law enforcement responded to a threat at the Lewis and Clark County Courthouse located at 228 E. Broadway St.
- The incident was prompted by numerous 911 calls reporting a woman brandishing a handgun and threatening people, including a judge.
- Helena police officers and Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene.
- One person is dead as a result of the incident, according to a release from Helena Police Chief Brett Petty and county Sheriff Leo Dutton.
