MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA, AUG 9 – Jonathan Ouellet-Gendron, ranked 10th on Canada's most wanted list, was arrested for murder and drug trafficking charges after returning to the country, police said.
- Jonathan Ouellet-Gendron, a 36-year-old man, was arrested on Saturday at Montreal's Trudeau International Airport by multiple law enforcement agencies.
- Since May 2022, police have been searching for Ouellet-Gendron following charges of first-degree murder linked to a homicide that took place on Melrose Avenue in Saskatoon. In May 2023, he was placed among Canada’s top 25 most wanted fugitives.
- The arrest took place at Montreal's Trudeau International Airport and involved personnel from the Sûreté du Québec specializing in airport operations, detectives from Mascouche's serious crimes unit, and agents from the Canada Border Services Agency as he was returning to Canada.
