WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — The Winston-Salem Police Department is investigating a Saturday afternoon shooting that left a man dead. According to a press release, at 1:34 p.m., WSPD officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2700 block of Piedmont Circle Drive. Alex Devonte Saunders, 32, was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been notified. The investigation is ongoing.
