One dead, two critical after Sydney stabbing attack
A 25-year-old man faces murder and grievous bodily harm charges after stabbing three people, killing one, in a busy Sydney shopping strip, police said.
- On Tuesday, February 17, a 25-year-old man allegedly stabbed three people in Merrylands, killing one and critically injuring two; he was charged with murder and refused bail.
- NSW Police Superintendent Simon Glasser said the attacks are being treated as random and `As far as we're aware at this moment, there is no relationship between the three victims`; police noted the alleged offender is known for petty crime and mental-health incidents.
