REVIEW: Murders in the County as a Reliable Medicine for Calming Down

Starring Jana Plodková and Ondřej Sokol. She as a parish priest, he as a famous intellectual police officer, otherwise siblings. The setting? A peaceful (almost) countryside, where an elite investigator goes to rest and raise bees after a dizzying career in Prague. Then a crime here and there. These are the basic settings of the new TV Nova series Murders in the Region. The first episode aired on Sunday evening. There are eight of them in total.

The sleepy atmosphere of the Czech countryside, complicated local relationships, and lots of villages full of murderers: the new series Murders in the Country starts on Nova on Easter Sunday, which can only be described as the domestic Midsomer Murders with a slight exaggeration.
