On this day as today in 2004 they attack the Spanish base Al Andalus in Iraq

The commander of the Al Andalus base, Colonel Alberto Asarta, decided to deploy four Middle Shields on Wheels (BMR) and two Cavalry Exploration Vehicles (VEC) at the base gate with orders to “respond to the fire of identified origins” while on the roof of the building a team of snipers of the Special Operations Command (MOE) was positioned with the aim of creating cover fire.
